Orlando Is The Second Best City For New Year’s Eve Celebrations

New Year’s Eve is just a few weeks away, and many are taking the time to start planning out how they will bring in the new year. A recent study determined Orlando is the second best city in America for New Year’s Eve celebrations.

The majority of Americans spend about $200 each on New Year’s every year, said WalletHub. The personal-finance website took an in-depth look at where Americans spend that money for a holiday in its 2017 Best Places for New Year’s Eve Celebrations.

For the study, WalletHub compared 100 of the biggest cities across 25 key metrics. Data collected ranged from legality of fireworks to average price of a New Year’s Eve party ticket to forecasted precipitation for Dec. 31.

Orlando came in as the second best city for New Year’s Eve celebrations behind New York City and followed by Atlanta, GA, and Los Angelos, CA.

Another Florida city made the top ten for best cities to celebrate in, Miami came in eighth. Tampa came to 24th for celebrations.

In a further breakdown, Orlando was fourth for most nightlife options per capita and tied for first for most restaurants per capita. Miami was third for most restaurants per capita and second for most luxury shops & gourmet-food stores per capita.

Hialeah, Fl came in as the fourth worst city for New Year’s Eve celebrations.
