Tampa Strip Club Sued For Unpaid Wages

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) – Dancers and “door girls” have filed a class action lawsuit against a Tampa, Florida, strip club, claiming they’re owed some $3.7 million in unpaid wages.

The lawsuit, filed April 20 in Hillsborough County Circuit Court, names JBM Management Inc., which does business as Thee Dollhouse, and its owner William Bullard as defendants.

The Tampa Tribune reports 46-year-old Vickie Jon Vellucci, 30-year-old Lindsay Michelle Brizzi and 24-year-old Alissa Lea Buckingham claim Bullard didn’t pay them and nearly 300 other workers any wages.

They claim they were required to pay per shift fees and forced to share tips with employees who don’t normally receive tips, including disc jockeys.

Florida requires employers to pay employees no less than minimum wage for all hours worked.

Bullard’s attorney did not immediately return a phone message.
