The Hillsborough County school bus driver who drove off a road and into a pond in September has pleaded not guilty to careless driving.
Lenoir Sainfimin claims the brakes on his bus failed and he couldn’t slow for a curve.
But investigators say Sainfimin was speeding and when he tried to hit the brake he also hit the gas pedal and went out of control.
None of the 27 kids on board suffered serious injuries.
Next up is a March 1st bench trial.
