Five schools in Lakeland are on heightened alert after a shooting nearby.
The shooting happened at Lincoln and Ariana Streets.
One person is hospitalized and the gunman is on the loose.
While the search goes on, Lakeland Christian School is locked down.
At a higher level of security are: Southwest High School, Southwest Middle School, Southwest Elementary and Dixieland Elementary.
