Things To Do This Weekend: Tampa

Hold onto your hat, there are tons of events and activities going on in Tampa this weekend for everyone to enjoy.

Free Movie: Enjoy a FREE Movie on the Green in Curtis Hixon Park Friday and Saturday night. An inflatable screen will be set up to show Iron Giant at 8:30 p.m. at the park. It is free to the public, but remember to bring a blanket or chairs to sit on. There will also be concessions available for purchase. The movie event will run from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. at 110 W. Kids: Jump aboard the Cardboard Space Adventures at the Museum of Science & Industry in Tampa this weekend. Help create a huge outer space rocket to explore the galaxy. The event will run daily through August 13th. Along with creating your own life-spaze spaceship, kids can explore a towering human space station and alien city. There will be a giant cardboard video game and a giant maze. This adventure will run from 10 am to 6 pm daily at MOSI. 4801 E Fowler Ave. Tampa, FL 33617. www.mosi.org/mosi-events.

Rays Up: Don’t miss out on the chance to get a free DJ Kitty Onesie. The first 15,000 ticket holders at the Rays-Rangers game Saturday will receive the adult-sized onesie. Also happening Saturday at the game is “Baseball Forever Night” where the city of St. Petersburg will pack the stadium with fans to show the Rays how much they love them. Comedy: The 2010 winner of Last Comic Standing, Felipe Esparza, will be coming to Tampa this weekend.
