Tampa locals deal with it daily, but for some residents, Tampa traffic might come as a surprise. The hashtag #TampaTraffic finally made its way to trending on Twitter this morning.
The slow stop and go along Interstate 4 and 275 is nothing new to most commuters. In fact, it’s usually strange if traffic is moving along those interstates during rush hours.
This morning was no different and what probably caused Tampa to be a trending subject on Twitter was an accident on westbound I-4 that was blocking the center lane.
And while I-4 was backed up, I-275 decided to join the party as well.
Back in 2016 I-4 was named the most dangerous interstate in America due to accidents and fatalities.
