Man Faces Up To 15 Years For Killing Adult Son

BUNNELL, Fla. (AP) — A Florida man faces up to 15 years in prison for fatally shooting his adult son.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports that 74-year-old Bobby Earl Gore pleaded no contest Tuesday to a reduced charge of manslaughter with a deadly weapon. He had previously been charged with first-degree murder.

Authorities say 31-year-old Lucas Gore had been arguing with his mother at the family’s Flagler Beach home in April with his father shot him twice in the head. Officials say the father and son had a history of problems with each other.
