A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a van early Thursday.
The pedestrian, who was not immediately identified, was walking in the road wearing dark clothing near the intersection of Madison Avenue and 78th Street just after 6 a.m., deputies said.
The van, a 2010 Chevrolet being driven by Justin Grant, 25, of Valrico, hit the pedestrian as he was walking in the street.
No charges will likely be filed against Grant, deputies said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
