Cruise the worldwide superstar hopes his new Clearwater pad can be a good home
Last weekend Tom Cruise set another record as his latest film in Mission: Impossible franchise – Fallout opened at the top of the box office pulling in $61.5 million. But the man who hopes to call Clearwater home soon biggest win could be getting to see his daughter Suri who he hasn’t seen in six years.
The child now 12 lives with her mother Cruise ex-wife Katie Holmes. According to Radar Online, the actor is trying to meet his little girl after she contacted him on the phone and via written letters.
“Tom’s paving the way to come back into Suri’s life permanently — and many expect it to happen soon. He’s contacted Suri through a third party, who he trusts implicitly, to check in and make sure she’s okay,” an insider revealed to the publication.
“He wants her to know that he’s thought of her all this time and that he got all of her messages. In fact, he read and listened to each and every word.”
News Talk Florida reported earlier this year Cruise sold his California home for $39 million in 2016 and has been living in hotels, mostly in London, as he films movies around the world.
At this moment he is waiting for the new a three-story luxury condo in the SkyView tower located in downtown Clearwater is completed. The condo is not yet finished being renovated so clearly it isn’t “move -in – ready.”
His new Clearwater pad would be a few blocks away from the world headquarters The Church of Scientology. For years Cruise has been an open and devote Scientologist who has never strayed away from his love for the religion.
Upon their divorce in 2012 Holmes left Scientology behind and has had custody of Suri. According to multiple reports, Cruise couldn’t see Suri since because Katie fled the religion.
While that may be a sticking point with Cruise and The Church of Scientology, don’t believe that he is leaving the religion. The megastar is likely to seek a way to see his daughter and still be a key member of the church.
According to People Magazine, and multiple other publications Cruise feels that once he establishes his home in Clearwater he will be able to reunite with his daughter and Holmes for her part has indicated that she has no problem with “Tom being part of Suri’s life, he is after all his father.”
But for now, until his condo is complete Cruise is living in London and getting ready for his big 2019 re-boot of Top Gun Maverick as the star just keeps rolling out one blockbuster after another.
