4 Freed In Kim Kardashian West Robbery

Four Freed In Robbery As Kardashian-West Heads To Dubai

According to ABC News, French investigators are keeping the brother of Kim Kardashian West’s Paris chauffeur in custody. Nine other people are also remaining in custody following the investigation of the October $10 million jewelry robbery.

27-year-old Gary Madar is remaining in police custody Thursday after the release of three men and a woman Wednesday night.

Madar worked for the same car service company that his brother Michael Madar, 40, worked for as a chauffeur. Authorities are investigating this robbery as possibly an inside job.

The news of the release of four suspects comes as the reality star revealed she is jetting to Dubai to headline a Friday masterclass by her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic. It will be her first major public appearance since the Paris ordeal.

17 Detained In Initial Investigation

Earlier in the week it was reported that 17 had been detained in connection with the Paris robbery.

A spokesman for the Paris prosecutor told CNN that the group was picked up in Paris, the eastern suburbs of Raincy and Vincenne in a police operation early Monday morning. There was also a suspect that was detained in Grasse, which is south of the country.

Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel room in October. A group of men disguised as police officers at a luxury mansion in Paris took an estimated $10 million in cash and jewelry.

Those being held are between the ages of 23 and 73 and can be held for up to 96 hours for questioning.

A few hours prior to the robbery, Kardashian West had attended the Givenchy runway show where her sister Kendall was walking. Earlier in the week she had been rushed by prankster, Vitalii Sediuk, who tried to kiss her rear end. Sediuk, who has pranked celebrities such as Bradley Cooper, Will Smith and Gigi Hadid, was immediately tackled to the ground by Kardashian-West’s bodyguard.

The French Interior Ministry said five men threatened the concierge at the mansion with a weapon to gain access to the private apartment. Two of those men entered Kardashian-West’s room and held a gun to her head, said the Pairs prosecutor’s office.

Another source told CNN that Kardashian West pleaded for her life as she was being threatened. She was bound and forced into a bathtub with tape placed over her mouth.
