A 63-year-old Sarasota woman was arrested in front of the Walmart sore on Lockwood Ridge Road at 8:26 p.m. Monday and charged with battery on an officer and disorderly conduct after she reportedly struck a sergeant of the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office with a closed fist and later refused requests to keep her clothes on.
Seitz took off her shirt and was topless in front of the store, the report states.
Two law officers tried to cover Seitz but she was combative and punched the sergeant while swinging her arm, according to the report.
Seitz faces charges of battery on an officer, resisting arrest and disorderly intoxication. She was released from jail after posting bonds totaling $2,120.
