Man Bites Parents Over Family Pet

DALY CITY, Calif. — A Daly City man who allegedly bit both of his parents and threatened to burn their home down during a fight over the family cat has pleaded not guilty to felony assault charges, according to the district attorney’s office.

Yevgeniy Bolshakov, 26, entered his plea in San Mateo County Superior Court on Monday, District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.

According to prosecutors, Bolshakov returned to the Daly City apartment he shared with his parents after a short trip away over Thanksgiving weekend.

Bolshakov apparently wanted to see the family cat, but his parents wouldn’t let him because the cat had recently had surgery, Wagstaffe said.
