A car that was found burning near the edge of Weston on Monday was found to contain human remains inside the trunk, officials said.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue reported the car fire shortly before 9:30 a.m. along a fence just east of U.S. 27 near Weston’s Southwest 26th Street, the Sheriff’s Office said.
After the fire was extinguished, human remains were found inside the trunk of the vehicle.
