Tropical Storm Danny Moving Slowly

Tropical Storm Danny is moving slowly across the Atlantic and forecasters say it could still become a hurricane.

Danny’s maximum sustained winds early Thursday remain near 50 mph (85 kph). The U.S. National Hurricane Center says some strengthening is still possible and Danny could become a hurricane on Friday.

The storm is centered about 1,200 miles (1,930 kilometers) east of the Lesser Antilles and is moving west near 10 mph (17 kph).

The storm does not currently pose a threat to any land.
