Training Of Sunni Groups Fighting ISIS To Be Sped Up

President Obama will speed up the training and equipping of Sunni tribal fighters in an effort to erase gains made by ISIS. The decision comes in the wake of the stinging fall of the Iraqi city of Ramadi to the terror group, and came as the president convened more than two dozen members of his National Security Council to discuss the situation.

Meanwhile, on the home front, presidential hopeful Rand Paul, as of this writing, is in the middle of filibustering the renewal of the Patriot Act, which provides the authorities for the NSA’s controversial bulk collection of American phone records. Those provisions are set to expire on June 1st. There was no word his campaign on how long the filibuster will last.
