President Obama’s Town Hall On Guns

There has been a lot of discussion this week regarding President Obama’s offensive on gun control, and his move with executive actions, albeit varying opinions on exactly how much impact those executive actions will have.

Thursday night on CNN, the president made his case in a town hall setting. The NRA declined to participate, calling it a public relations spectacle orchestrated by the White House. There has been criticism that the audience at the George Mason University event was “invitation only.”

Nonetheless, get the recap this morning.

Late last night, a senior adviser to Carson confirms to ABC News that House conservatives reached out to Carson in 2014 about the possibility of replacing John Boehner. Carson turned down the offer because he was gearing up his run for president.
