Obama Welcomes Pope To The White House

Pope Francis, the leader of the Catholic Church, got the red carpet treatment when he arrived at the nation’s capital on Tuesday. The President and First Lady were there, along with other dignitaries, to welcome him when he arrived at Joint Base Andrew.

Obama welcomes the Pontiff to the White House Wednesday, where they will discuss various issues dotting both of their agendas, after which Pope Francis has a couple of afternoon events in DC, before his speech on Thursday before Congress.
