Obama Still Hoping To Salvage Trade Bill

With just 18 months to go in office, President Obama went all in on Friday, visiting Capitol Hill in an effort to sway enough Democrats to vote for his trade bill. But many in his party feel these trade bills cost American jobs, and led by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, voted against a measure that would have sent the bill to the president’s desk.

Republicans indicate they’ll give Obama another chance to sway enough votes for another vote later this week, but it doesn’t look very promising.
