In the past few days alone we’ve seen a reporter and cameraman murdered on live television and a combination shoot-up/stabbing in Louisiana that resulted in a dead police officer. During the course of the year, we’ve seen race riots in several cities, attacks on police officers, shootings in churches, people attacking movie theaters…
Well, you get the picture.
Michael Snyder of EndoftheAmericanDream.com asks some interesting questions in a recent article: Is America going crazy?
“Why in the world can’t we all just learn to love one another and respect one another?
Instead, the mainstream media and many of our “national leaders” are constantly fueling racial tensions in this nation.

What is fueling the insanity?
Are Americans ratcheted up so tight because media — through digital, social and broadcast — continues to surface more and more content on a daily basis? Are our leaders fomenting a race war and if so, to what end?
Former Florida Congressman Allen West presented his perspective at AllenBWest.com:
“As outrageous as it is, the sentiment taps into what appears to be an ugly — and extremely dangerous — trend we’ve seen building in our nation of late. Is it justifiable — and even possibly encouraged in some cases? — for blacks to commit crimes, even murder, as a way of compensating for grievances they may have suffered? Is the culture of progressive victimhood — in which certain groups, due to their “victim” status, have a “right” to commit criminal acts and (perhaps even literally) get away with murder — taking over our country?
Just weeks ago, as we reported here, US Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan issued his latest call for black Americans to “rise up” and “kill those who kill us” if the federal government fails to “intercede in our affairs.” He added, “stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling.” You might expect such a hateful incitation to violence to receive attention from the media — oh and maybe even law enforcement. Yet, the liberal progressive media appeared to look the other way.
And we all remember Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake’s instruction to police to give space to those “who wished to destroy” in the violent aftermath of Freddie Gray’s death. The message from the mayor seemed to condone the acts of demonstrators who looted and damaged innocent businesses and injured police officers in their protests in the name of their victim Freddie Gray.”
Clearly the Left seeks to use any incident involving gun violence as an opportunity to ban guns. The Left’s agenda clearly leans toward creating a nation of un-armed, politically correct sheep. In addition, the Democrat goal includes projecting themselves as a group sympathetic and enabling toward people’s plights. What those people fail to understand is the very politicians they support actually create their woeful condition in life.
But the Dems are not alone. As videos of beheadings, crucifixions, stonings, burnings and people being tossed off buildings pour in through the internet, our government seeks to impose stricter and invasive security measures in our lives.
Add to that the economic woes and one-third of the nation either un-employed or having quit trying to find work completely and no wonder this nation feels like its going mad.
We no know what Hope, Change and Transformation has brought to this nation.
