Among other things, the president admitted he doesn’t have a long term strategy on Syria. He also went to great lengths to say it is not U.S. policy at this point to defeat ISIS — but to reverse some of the gains they have made in Iraq and to protect Americans.
And also made it clear that he had no intention to order airstrikes on Syria any time soon, or was looking at any military option whatsoever regarding Ukraine.
