President Obama, while on a vacation break in Washington, headed to the briefing room to make a statement about Iraq and Ferguson, and take some questions.
Most notably, he said he was pleased with the U.S. mission in Iraq and the success it’s been having, but urged the fractious Iraqi government to figure things out quickly so they could get control over things with a unified front.
He also addressed the situation in Ferguson. And he paid tribute to Ann Compton, who announced her retirement last week.
