Obama Calls CIA Tactics “Inconsistent” With Nation’s Values

Shortly after the Senate Intelligence Committee’s CIA torture report was released Tuesday, President Obama addressed the findings saying the report reinforced his view that the harsh interrogation methods “were not only inconsistent with our values as nothing, they did not serve our broader counterterrorism efforts or our national security interests.”

Meanwhile on Capitol Hill, another issue was coming to a head. Beleaguered Obamacare adviser Jonathan Gruber whose incendiary comments about “the stupidity of the American voter” apologized for what he described as his “glib, thoughtless and sometimes downright insulting comments.”
