Feds Join Investigation Of LA Police Shooting

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards says the Department of Justice will launch a federal investigation into the fatal police shooting of Alton Sterling, a 37-year-old black man shot and killed Tuesday after an altercation with two white police officers in Baton Rouge.

A civilian with a cell phone captured at least a portion of the confrontation that ended in Sterling’s death. Gov. Edwards called the video “disturbing, to say the least.”
