Jeb Bush, Carlos Gutierrez Lead Latino Conference

MIAMI (AP) — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez will lead a conference in Miami looking at new ways to reach out to conservative Hispanic voters.

The two-day event aimed at connecting Republican leaders with like-minded Latinos begins January 26, just days before Florida’s GOP primary.

The conference will focus on outreach and voter mobilization. The Hispanic Leadership Network is leading the conference. The group is an arm of the Republican-backed advocacy group American Action Network and recently held a similar forum in New Mexico.
