In the first attacks since the British Parliament on Friday approved military action against ISIS, two “precision strikes” were launched inside Iraq and both were “successful”, according to the Ministry of Defense. The attacks, by two Tornado jets, were part of an international effort against militant extremist group.

A U.S. led coalition of about 40 nations is trying to destroy ISIS, which now controls large parts of Iraq and Syria. Kurdish sources said the Royal Air Force Strikes strikes had helped them retake an “important border crossing” near the border with Syria.
