Unconventional Weapons Chief For ISIS Is In U.S. Custody

The man who once made chemical and biological weapons for Saddam Hussein and has been doing the same for ISIS, was captured during a dramatic, covert operation inside Northern Iraq. The capture of Steiman Daoud al-Afari, was the first big success for the Pentagon’s new, aggressive pursuit of jihadists on the ground.

Launched in December by deploying a commando force to Iraq, the aim is to hunt down and eliminate ISIS leaders.
