Top Taliban Leader Killed

The killing of Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Akhtar Mansour in a U.S. drone strike was greeted Sunday by Kabul’s political leadership as a game-changer in efforts to end the long insurgent war plaguing Afghanistan.

Also, on another major story, the search is on for the “black boxes” of that crashed EgyptAir jetliner. With no claims of responsibility being made, and some preliminary leaving it open that a major malfunction may have been the cause, the mystery of what actually caused the plane to crash deepens.
