Last week there was a lot of buzz when it was revealed that the Justice Department is investigating whether the major airlines have colluded to limit available seats, and in so doing, artificially inflate pricing. This of course is after a few mega-mergers, where the airlines had to go out of their way to say they would never do such a thing. Rick of course spends most of his day analyzing price trends and demand ratios, and discusses what he has noticed over the past several months that he believes may have led to the Feds investigating.
