The debate over whether or not the Confederate Battle Flag should be flown on government property has been reignited … big time … since a lone white gunman killed nine people at a historic black church last week, including a sitting state senator who happened to also be the pastor.
It’s spilled over into 2016 presidential politics, where the focus appears to be on what the GOP candidates feel about it. Jeb Bush has said the same, though he’s taken a bit of time to make that call. Now that Gov. Nikki Haley and the RNC have joined the call to take down the flag, will the other candidates join suit?
