Will We See Safer Cars That Avoid Rear-End Accidents? [VIDEO]

The Government wants car makers to start installing collision prevention systems as soon as possible. Government safety experts say the technology could save 1,700 lives a year…..Car Collision avoidance systems involve radar like sensors that slow or stop your ethical if you’re about to hit something or another car. The National Transportation Safety Administration says car makers should include it as standard equipment just like seatbelts, in all cars.

A couple of weeks ago a blog in the Dominican Republic posted a video of an individual at a car dealership attempted to demonstrate the pedestrian detection feature on a Volvo. Only that particular car did not have that feature…unfortunately for the two people helping with the demonstration. Watch that video now…
