Prosecutors Release Hastert Sexual Misconduct Information

Federal prosecutors in Illinois have revealed more information about the alleged sexual misconduct by former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert while a teacher and wrestling coach at Yorkville High School.

A filing ahead of Hastert’s sentencing later this month reveals the FBI spoke with four former students who claim Hastert molested them. As well the family member of a now deceased student says her brother was also the victim of an inappropriate relationship with Hastert while a student.

Hastert pleaded guilty last year to a bank fraud charge for illegally withdrawing millions of dollars from personal accounts to pay hush money to one of the victims. He is recovering from a stroke.
