Congress Debates Planned Parenthood

The House will vote Friday on two Planned Parenthood related bills: one to freeze federal funding for a year while congressional investigations continue, and another tightening the enforcement of abortion laws previously on the books.

Meanwhile, conservative members are angling towards defunding Planned Parenthood altogether, and threatening to hold up any budget reconciliation bill in order to make their point. But it appears leadership will forge ahead and push through a 2-month CR to keep the government up and running until everything can be revisited in November.
