‘Oldest’ Koran Fragments Found In Birmingham University

What may be the world’s oldest fragments of the Koran have been found by the University of Birmingham in the UK. Radiocarbon dating found the newly discovered manuscript to be at least 1,300 years old, dating it back to within a few years of the actual founding of Islam. According to a professor of Christianity and Islam at the University, parts of the Koran that are written on this parchment can actually be dated to less than two decades after the prophet Muhammad’s death.
