Obama Slogs On With Garland Effort

The Supreme Court vacancy issue had a couple days of front page coverage, but since the Republican guard proved pretty firm in their resolve not to hold hearings, the Merrick Garland nomination fight has faded a bit.

Nonetheless, President Obama will try once again to reignite the embers, and stir things up again when he heads to Chicago on Thursday. He may have to turn up the rhetoric to get folks to listen, but even then, things appear to be a steep uphill effort.
