New Years Celebrations Cancelled In Brussels

Security surrounding New Year’s Eve events is always heightened. This year, though, in the wake of a number of recent terror attacks, as well as ongoing threats, some places are being extra super cautious.

Officials in Paris, for instance have cancelled their planned fireworks display. Others are limiting celebrations, like in Mali. And then there is Brussels. They cancelled their festivities altogether on Wednesday night, citing an extremist threat. Tom takes a look at plans from around the world and fills you in on how nations are celebrating … or not.
