McCarthy Drops Out Of House Speaker Race

Once it became clear that the conservative wing of the House Republicans were not going to throw their votes to House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy to be Speaker, thus keeping him from getting the majority needed to win in a floor vote, he dropped out, saying it was clear a fresh face was needed. Will whoever it does turn out to be have much, if any, persuasive leverage, or at this point is being Speaker of the House more like being the Queen of England?
