Kim Davis Found In Contempt of Court

A county clerk in Kentucky has been found in contempt of court for refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples.

After nearly two hours of testimony, including from Kim Davis, herself, about the Rowan County Clerk’s continued refusal to grant marriage licenses to same-sex couples, Judge David Bunning ruled that Davis was in contempt of an order he issued last month, saying clerks cannot pick and choose which orders they want to follow.

Davis was escorted from the courtroom by federal marshals. Jim Ryan is in Ashland, Kentucky with the latest.
