The problem apparently isn’t going away. The IRS is once again warning Americans to beware of scams, in which callers pretend to be tax agents demanding money. The agency says taxpayers should be on “high alert,” and that in the last two years, more than 4,500 victims have been tricked into giving money to fake IRS agents, losing a total of 23 million dollars.
