IOC Looking At 31 Caught In Retests From 2008 Olympics

The IOC opened disciplinary proceedings Tuesday against the 31 unidentified athletes with failing samples who competed in Beijing and were planning to take part in the Rio de Janeiro Games in August. It is also now taking another look samples from the 2014 Games.

There are also reports that Maria Sharapova, the five-time tennis Grand Slam winner, may face an anti-doping panel in London on Wednesday after taking the banned drug meldonium. The 29-year-old Russian failed a doping test at the Australian Open in January. The International Tennis Federation panel could issue a 4-year ban, though 6-12 months is more likely. Meanwhile,
