First Lawsuit Filed In Flint Toxic Water Scandal

The lawsuits in Flint, MI, toxic water situation have begun. Attorneys representing four Flint families filed a class action lawsuit this morning, not only seeking damages, but also seeking an emergency preliminary injunction to prevent the city from issuing residents any further water shut off notices.

The attorneys are also asking the judge to declare all water bills invalid because the residents have been billed for water they cannot use. Meanwhile Governor Snyder addressed the situation during his State of the State Address Tuesday night.
