For the past 80 years, the North Carolina coast has averaged one shark bite every two years. This month alone, seven people have been attacked, including a 68-year-old man who was bitten Wednesday while swimming in waist-deep water about 30 feet from the shore. Experts are offering theories about the reasons for the shark-bite cluster and some are urging the closure of beaches going into the biggest weekend of the year. ABC’s Jim Ryan has the latest on – what experts are calling – a “very dangerous situation.”
