El Chapo Headed To U.S. For Prosecution

Joaquin Guzman, aka El Chapo, looks headed to the United States at some point to face a mountain of charges all related to his cutthroat drug trafficking enterprise. The U.S. wants him, Mexico wants to send him, but El Chapo does have his legal rights to fight extradition, so it may take a little time.

Meanwhile, none other than Sean Penn had reportedly been in touch with Guzman, leading up to an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone. Mexican authorities are saying it was that meeting that led them to find where Guzman was hiding. Penn hasn’t commented on the interview, or how he inadvertently appears to have been responsible for the capture of the drug lord.
