DOVER — A woman was hospitalized early Friday after being shot in her home, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.
The shooting was reported about 1:40 a.m. at 4816 Copper Canyon Blvd.
Brandon Regional Hospital later notified deputies that a woman with at least one gunshot wound had driven herself to the hospital. She was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where she was in serious condition early Friday.
Detectives were interviewing the woman’s husband and processing the crime scene.
The woman has not been identified and a motive remained unknown early Friday, but deputies said the shooting was not random.
An investigation remained under way Friday.
