Hillsborough County, FL – Hillsborough County police arrested Patrick Shiver, 72, at his home without incident. Shiver was charged with one count of Capital Sexual Battery and booked into the Orient Road Jail where he is being held with no bond.
According to investigators, approximately thirty to forty years ago, Shiver performed on numerous occasions a sexual act and had sexual intercourse with the victim while in Hillsborough County.
At the time of the incident, the female victim was under the age of 11 and was known to the suspect. Per Fl Statute 119, no further information will be released that would tend to identify the child.
During a controlled telephone call between Shiver and the victim, Shiver admitted to performing sexual acts with the victim while she was under the age of eleven and sexual intercourse while she was between the ages of fourteen and seventeen years old.
Later during interviews with detectives, Shiver admitted to the allegations.
Shiver has been a Pastor at numerous local churches throughout Hillsborough County and is currently a practicing Pastor at the Casa De Dios church in Wimauma.
