WH Expresses Concerns Over Release Of CIA Torture Report

The Obama administration expressed concern over violence against U.S. missions around the world in the wake of the release of the CIA torture report on Tuesday. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Monday that U.S. targets abroad have been secured and other preparations made to mitigate threats ahead of the release. He also noted that President Obama has not tried to block its release.

On Monday, President Obama joined Stephen Colbert as one of his final guests on The Colbert Report. And after the searing joke the host made during the weekend’s Kennedy Center Honors ceremony, the president had no doubt been working furiously on the perfect comeback.
