A website called BlackFridayDeathCount.com is keeping track of all the Black Friday-related deaths and injuries with links to news articles detailing the incidents.
For 2013, the site reports 15 injuries and one death related to the annual holiday shopping event. The death was that of 19-year-old Patrick Henry Boyd who fell asleep at the wheel while driving home from Black Friday shopping with his friends in South Carolina, the Gaston Gazette reports. The crash left four others hospitalized
