USF Tampa To Go Totally Tobacco-Free

The Tampa campus of the University of South Florida has announced that it will go totally tobacco free January 1.

That not only means smoking and chewing tobacco will be forbidden, but so will e-cigarettes and hookahs.

And the ban is not only campus wide in every nook and corner, but also applies to sports events, graduation ceremonies, and any campus event open to the public.

Officials say the ban will be enforced by students.

USF’s St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee campuses are already totally tobacco free.

USF joins 16 hundred other tobacco free campuses nationwide.
