Governor Rick Scott has been re-elected over Democratic challenger Charlie Crist, per the Associated Press.

With almost 99 percent of the votes in, Republican Rick Scott has pretty much secured his re-election as Florida’s Governor over challenger Democrat Charlie Crist. Scott has 48.4 percent of the vote, while Crist has 46.9 percent.

With 97 percent of the votes in, Republican Rick Scott is looking likely to be re-elected as Florida’s Governor over challenger Democrat Charlie Crist. Scott has 48.4 percent of the vote, while Crist has 46.8 percent.

With 84.6 percent of the votes in, Rick Scott is continuing to slowly extend his lead over Charlie Crist. Scott has 48.7 percent of the vote, while Crist has 46.4 percent.

With 71.2 percent of the votes in, Rick Scott has once again slightly extended his lead over Charlie Crist. Scott has 48.6 percent of the vote, while Crist has 46.4 percent.

With 59.9 percent of the votes in, Rick Scott has ever so slightly extended his lead over Charlie Crist. Scott has 48.5 percent of the vote, while Crist has 46.5 percent.

With 48.1 percent of the votes in, Rick Scott has taken a lead over Charlie Crist. Scott has 48.4 percent of the vote, while Crist has 46.6 percent.

With 28.4 percent of the vote in, Charlie Crist has taken a lead over Rick Scott. Crist has 47.7 percent of the vote, while Scott has 47.4 percent.


 

UPDATE 8:03 PM:

Both Charlie Crist and Rick Scott are tied at 47.6 percent of the vote with 22.7 percent of the votes reported.


 

Election Day 2014 results are pouring in and the Governor’s race in the state of Florida is off to a fast start. With 18.9 percent of the votes being cast, Democrat Charlie Crist has 47.8 percent of the vote compared to 47.4 perent of the vote for Republican Rick Scott.

Most of the early votes counted have been from the Tampa Bay area and in South Florida, both areas where Crist needs to do well.

Crist was elected governor in 2006 as a Republican before becoming an independent in 2010 when he ran for the U.S. Senate. He became a Democrat two years ago.

Scott was elected in 2010 in a tight race that wasn’t decided until the day after the election.
