U.S. Vessels To Accompany British Commercial Vessels In Strait Of Hormuz

The Pentagon has confirmed that US Navy vessels will accompany British flagged commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. The mission continued over the weekend.

Though Spokesman Col. Steve Warren would not give precise number, there have been a handful though the first day the Navy accompanied four US flagged vessels. Col. Warren said the accompaniment is only for British commercial vessels, as any British warships “can handle themselves”.
