Two Schools Placed On Lockdown After Lutz Bank Robbery

Two schools in Lutz were placed on lockdown after a man robbed the Bank of America located at 22850 State Road 54, Pasco deputies say. The bank is at the corner of State Road 54 and Collier Parkway.

According to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, the suspect robbed the bank at 10 a.m. Tuesday and was wearing a Florida Gators cap, jeans, and a white t-shirt. He is described as a white male 5’10”, 180 pounds, and in his mid 30’s.

Police say he got away on foot and no weapon was seen.

Two nearby schools, including a daycare, were placed on lockdown but have since returned to normal operating status.

Officers did not disclose if the suspect got away with any money or not but in one of the pictures you can see the suspect holding a large sum of cash.
